The Cyprus Neuroscience & Technology Institute is a non-profit, non-Governmental, non-partisan independent Organization active in programs with future orientation in areas related to human brain-modern technology-social transformation and the repercussions of relevant research for humanity. CNTI was established in 1991 and has over 30 people working in its different projects. It currently has 17 full time staff (10 under 30 years of age), 3 full-time volunteers (all of them under 30) and many part-time volunteers. Through its young and dynamic structure, the organization ensures its links to the political, social, business and especially youth environment in Cyprus, Europe and Internationally. CNTI offers its young staff numerous possibilities to become active citizens in Cyprus and on a European and global level, to enhance their own capacities and to contribute to the organization and the shaping of the organization’s activities and projects.
CNTI’s scope of projects involves the application of technology towards social transformation as well as bridging literacy, economic and digital divides. It is a supporter of IT education, scientific research and peace in the three continents around Cyprus. Moreover, CNTI aims at the sensitization, enlightenment and development of an active civil society in Cyprus. CNTI has extensive experience in coordinating, conducting, and supervising projects, trainings, conferences, and workshops beyond national boundaries with the use of modern technology for education. Its competencies among others are development of new educational models based on cognitive science and computing, worldwide operations focused on international development, and enhancement of inter-ethnic and international peace
